Lighthouse Cafe started with a simple idea: every neighborhood deserves a spot where people know your order, the coffee is always right, and no one rushes you out the door. We opened our doors on West 39th Street in 2011, and San Pedro has been our home ever since.
We source our beans from small farms that pay their people fairly. Our food changes with the seasons and leans on local vendors whenever possible. We're not a chain, not a concept — just a cafe that cares about the people who walk through its door.
If you've been coming for years, thank you. If you're here for the first time, welcome. Grab a seat. Stay a while.
Don't take our word for it. Here's what the folks who actually come in have to say.
I've been coming to Lighthouse almost every morning for four years. The Lighthouse Latte is genuinely the best coffee I've had in the South Bay — maybe anywhere. The staff remembers my name and my order. This place is the real deal.
My writing spot. I've written an entire novel at that corner table by the window. The WiFi is reliable, the vibe is calm without being sterile, and they never make you feel bad for staying three hours on one cortado. Pedro's Plate on Saturdays is a ritual at this point.
San Pedro is changing fast, but Lighthouse feels like it's holding the neighborhood together. It's where I run into people I know, where I bring my parents when they visit, where I took my daughter for her first "real coffee" at 16. It's community. Don't ever change.
We're right here in San Pedro, ready to make your day a little better. Swing by — first cup's on us if it's your first visit (just say hi).

☕ Tip: We get busy on weekend mornings (the best kind of problem). Weekday afternoons are the sweet spot for a quiet seat and good coffee.
